Our PurposePURPOSE In the Desert Children’s Project’s sole purpose is to love children. Parents and teachers have sought to find the approach for providing what is correct for their children. In the Desert Children’s Project, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax – exempt organization, unfolds these solutions through the application of Self Identity through Ho’oponopono® (SITH®) which allows the child to develop freely. The activities and projects are designed to assist the child and parents at home, in home school, or in regular classroom settings. ABOUT US The Board of Directors was chosen to provide the necessary guidance, direction and expertise to allow In the Desert Children’s Project to fulfill its purpose. The directors are not compensated for their supporting work. Being 100% responsible is one of the commitments each has pledged. Approaching the work with a reverence, respect, Love and awareness that we each are a child is foremost. We understand that the behavior of the students reflects an area within us that can be corrected through the application of Ho'oponopono. All classes and activities are approached through cleansing- an application of the SITH® process and through a meditation and careful checking for who is to be involved as well as where and when. This allows movement without creating stress to any of the participants involved. In this approach we are also honoring the land, plant, animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms as we prepare for each event ABOUT HO'OPONOPONO Self Identity through Ho'oponopono® is a process to set things right, create balance and bring the Self back to LOVE. It allows one to correct any stressful relationship or situation in his or her life and to discover his Identity through cleansing, releasing, and understanding the relationship with him/herself and every molecule and atom of creation. Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona created the updated Ho'oponopono process. She was recognized as a "Living Treasure" of Hawaii for her work. Ho'oponopono was an inseparable part of the ancient Hawaiian philosophy and way of life. This process permeated every fiber of their existence - family relationships and activities, the education and training of the children, social values and interactions and their relationship with nature and the cosmos.
