Making a Pillow Case

    

                                             1. Choose 2 Fabrics:

                                                 Fabric A: 1 and 1/4 yard     Fabric B: 3/8 yard

                                             2. Cut Fabric A: 24 inches x 40 inches *

                                             3. Cut Fabric B: 10.5 inches x 40 inches

                                             4. Fold right sides together of fabric A, making piece 24 x 20.

                                                 Sew 1 side and bottom. Finish edges with zigzag and iron.

                                             5. Fold right sides together of fabric B, making piece 10.5 x 20.

                                                  Sew short side, finish with zigzag and iron.

                                             6. Fold fabric B in half lengthwise with wrong sides together.

                                                   Keeping in circle, baste edges around.

                                             7. Turn piece A with wrong sides together. Pin piece B around top of piece A and sew.

                                                   Finish edges with zigzag and iron.

                                              8. Turn pillow case right side out and place pillow inside.

                                              9. A down-filled pillow is nice to use.

                                              Note:  *  These sizes are for a regular pillow.  Adjust fabric for size of pillow.
