Fun with Gourds

                                           1.  Soak the gourd in warm water for 15 minutes.  Scrub off old skin.

                                           2.  Use a kitchen scouring pad or sanding block to help remove the skin.

                                           3.  Allow the gourd to dry.

                                           4.  The gourd is now ready for your project.     

                                           5.  Gourds make great birdhouses.  Cut a hole for bird to enter.

                                           6.  Make holes at the top for stringing the wire to hang the gourd.

                                           7.  Spray with a protective sealant.

                                           8.  Gourds come in all sizes. Make into bowls, decorative pieces or rattles.
