Felted Coin Purse (4 x 6
inches)
Supplies: Wool Yarn, Size 8
Knitting Needle, Purse Snap, Hammer or Mallet, Darning Needle, Washing Machine,
Appliqué (optional)
Flow:
- Purchase Wool Yarn.
- Cast on 17 to 22 stitches.
- Knit for 12 inches.
- Prepare the bag folding to
create a short flap. Find placement for the purse snap. Allow about 1 inch
from each edge for each piece.
- Stitch sides together using
Darning Needle.
- Place in Washing Machine with a
couple of towels in hot water and a bit of detergent. Agitate for 20
minutes or until desired size is reached. The stitch definition will no
longer be visible.
- Remove from washer and rinse in
cold water.
- Shape and place on towel to
dry.
- Gently pound purse snap in
place allowing 1 inch from each edge.
- Add on appliqué if desired when
dry.
